Kairi Taul Hemingway is a Program Manager of Milestone Leadership Development experiences with KPMG. Kairi is passionate and committed to the sustainability of our Canadian Estonian community, and gives back through her work as President, having previously served as Vice President and Treasurer, of the Estonian Central Council in Canada, is a delegate for the Worldwide Estonian Central Council, served 3 years on the Board for the Estonian Relief Committee, continues in her 13th year as a Director on the Board of St. Peter's Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church in Toronto and as District Commissioner and Treasurer for the Estonian Girl Guides, Põhjarada and Estonian Guiders Council.  In February 2018, she was awarded the Estonian Central Council Teenetemärk, which is in recognition of her contributions in our community.  Kairi has a 15 year old son, who is a student in Toronto Eesti Seltsi Keskkool, is in Põhjakotka scouts, and is a regular camper at both Seedrioru and Kalevi volleyball camps at Jõekääru.

Ensuring Canadian national representation in the Estonian Central Council of Canada and continuing the strong alliance of Canadian Estonian representation in Estonia, is critical to supporting the sustainment of our Estonian language and culture in Canada.  Kairi’s involvement primarily in the Toronto community has built the foundation for her to continue to work towards ensuring a strong rooted Estonian future for our next generation across Canada.

The Estonian Central Council in Canada (ECC)/Eestlaste Kesknõukogu Kanadas (EKN) is a nationally elected council founded in 1951 that furthers the interests and development of the Canadian Estonian community.
