Mission of ECC/EKN

To represent, unite and support the preservation of Estonian culture, language, history, heritage and identity in communities across Canada

To advocate for the interests of Estonia, and strengthen the ties between the Republic of Estonia, Estonians in Estonia and Estonians living in Canada

To fulfill these objectives the Estonian Central Council in Canada:

1. Maintains contact with Canadian Estonian organizations, Canadian and Estonian governments, and their agencies and ministries.

2. Maintains contact and cooperation with the Global Estonian Central Council and related organizations in other countries.

3. Pursues the protection of Estonia’s interests. Lobbies to support the sustainability, and reinforces the independence of the Republic of Estonia. Supports the activities of Estonia’s foreign representatives related to the protection of the rights of independent states and interests of Estonians. 4. Maintains contact and develops cooperation with organizations representing different ethnic backgrounds who have the same goals.
